The fruit for this wine was grown at Aussie Vineyard's very own stunning Henty Estate located at Ballandean in the Granite Belt in Queensland. Harvest was during late March 2002, where the fruit was picked by both hand and machine.
The AU 2002 Five Bars Granite Belt Shiraz combines a deep purple rim and a fabulous bouquet full of vanilla, spice and white pepper on the nose. On the palate, an opulent mouth feel of blackberry and cherry, infused with bold balanced tannins and chunky oak. Twelve months of premium American oak barrel aging ensures the finish is long and spicy.
