AU Shiraz comes from the famous Barossa Valley, which has amassed its fine reputation from 140 years of experience in producing outstanding wines. Winter rains in 2002 provided excellent soil profiles before the growing season. Cool springtime temperatures, followed by warm and dry summer contributed to healthy vine growth, flavour development and berry ripening.
This wine is deep red in colour with a purple tinge and evokes intense blackcurrant aromas, enhanced by seductive hints of dark berry on the nose. The palate is filled with liquorice and dark berry, complemented by a long finish from fine oak tannins.
