Source

The delectable grapes used in our AU Chardonnay were picked during mid March through to early April 2004 from South Australia's Limestone Coast. Its cool maritime climate coupled with a splendid warmer than usual autumn purified any risk of disease, giving rise to perfect ripening conditions.

Tasting Notes

With a delightful harmony of spring colours, including soft green hues and straw-pastel yellow, the nose opens with a warm, toasty oak and crisp tropical fruit accents. This wine has been fermented using both new and used French oak barrels as well as stainless steel tanks, to produce a smooth, rich palate of butter, citrus and melon. It has a superb refined finish, carrying the palate to the end. This wine is a perfect accompaniment to seafood and poultry, and even more enjoyable when the meal is complemented with a creamy sauce.
