The fruit for this wine was grown at Aussie Vineyard's very own stunning Henty Estate located at Ballandean in the Granite Belt in Queensland. The fruit was hand picked during the cool early morning and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The fresh fruit characteristics of this chardonnay were captured by having the wine racked off gross lees quickly.
Tasting Notes
AU 2006 Unwooded Chardonnay is a lively varietal full of fresh fruit flavours, displaying grapefruit and tropical fruits on the nose. It is twined with a brilliant straw colour, and enhanced with crisp green apple and a light dry finish for a refreshing experience.
